Damion Lee Family Foundation is committed to impacting youth positively by creating a nurturing environment, to help them become the best versions of themselves through charitable and education opportunities.
"Using Basketball as a Tool"
Damion Lee is a professional basketball player, he currently plays basketball for Phoenix Suns. He earned a Bachelor Degree in General Humanities and Social Science at Drexel University and began his Master's in Special Education, with a Concentration in Assistive Technology at University of Louisville as a grad student. Damion has held free basketball clinics focusing on teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship. Damion is passionate about working with youth and making a positive impact in their lives the same way many male figures have done for him growing up. Damion was raised by his single mother, with help from his maternal grandparents, aunt (mother's sister) and various male role models who provided guidance and mentorship.
Michelle Riddick, is the mother of Damion Lee. Michelle is a Gulf War Veteran and a Registered Nurse. She continues to work as a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of nursing experience. She earned an Associates Degree in Nursing at Suffolk Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Public Relations and Interpersonal Communications at Towson University. Stemming from Michelle's passion to help the youth, her desire to start a nonprofit began when she was nineteen years old, wanting to foster a nurturing environment.
The L.E.E Way Foundation was founded, to make a positive impact on the youth we serve. We have changed our name to Damion Lee Family Foundation to better reflect the work we will be doing as a family. We will continue to expand our programs, services and outreach to the communities we serve.
